RFIC’2022

March 15, 2022. Congratulations to Rajath Bindiganavile, Asif Wahid, and Jacob Atkinson for their paper accepted in the IEEE RFIC’2022, being held at Denver in June this year. The title of his paper is: “A 59-fs-rms 35-GHz PLL with FoM of -241 dB in 0.18-μm BiCMOS/SiGe Technology“. The main focus of this paper is on design of high-speed and low phase noise Phase Locked Loop circuits. The target application for these type of circuits is mainly in advanced Wireless 5G and Wireline communications.

DOE AWARD

September 30, 2021. LCAS team, together with two other groups at the ECE department, at the University of Utah, has received a DOE award to implement future visual-based technology system to substantially reduce the cost of cooperative driving automation. This $3.5M project will be performed in collaboration with the University of Florida [LINK]. LCAS is responsible to develop secure hardware topologies for RF communications.

MWSCAS’2021

May 25, 2021. Congratulations to Rajath Bindiganavile for his paper accepted in the IEEE MWSCAS’2021, being held at the Michigan State University. The title of his paper is: “A Controllable KVCO Ring VCO Topology“. The main focus of this paper is on design of ring VCO circuits, with controllable KVCO. The target application for these type of circuits is mainly in Wireless and Wireline communications.

IEEE WMED’21

April 23, 2021. Armin Tajalli presented an invited talk in the IEEE Workshop on Microelectronics and Electronic Devices. The presentation was on Energy Efficient Multi-Wire Coding for Chip-to-Chip Communications. The lecture covers both signaling and modulation schemes, as well as circuit design approaches [Link].
